The last 2nd of April, the President of the Government of Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, visited the Integrated Manufacturing Centre (CFI). During the visit, he could learn about the LIFE BAQUA project and its progress. In addition, all the assistants could take a dossier, generated by the coordinating partner of the project, in which they could find more information about BAQUA, apart from a letter of intents, to propose initiatives and European policies to promote the use of natural fibres, specifically the fibres deriving from agricultural wastes.
The President showed an interest in the project progress and is waiting for further information at the end of it, to discuss how the Government of Canary Islands could support the implementation of the extraction of fibre and its use.
